I want to share how incredible my experience with Floran & Kees has been. Navigating the challenges of being a new business has often felt overwhelming, but having her support along the way has truly been a game changer. She is kind, patient, and always goes above and beyond to support me and answer my questions. I managed people for over 15 years, and I know how wonderful it is to find someone like her. She is a true gift. I am deeply grateful, and I want you to know how much I appreciate her level of support, customer service, expertise, and her willingness to go above and beyond.

I have been a client for years and initially had a great experience with this firm. I always appreciated their internal tool, which makes it easy to keep track of expenses and invoices, and I didn’t mind that different accountants were assigned to me over time — it was never an issue. However, this year has been extremely disappointing. I asked them to prioritize my 2024 tax report back in March, and since then I’ve had to repeatedly chase for updates. My emails are no longer answered in a timely manner (if at all), and I constantly have to follow up to get any information. It is now almost September, and my tax report is still not completed. The level of service has clearly declined, and after years of being a loyal and satisfied client, I am now fed up. Sadly, I can no longer recommend working with them.

Edited after finalizing taxes: It's not often one comes across a professional service that is as terrible at setting and communicating expectations as Kees de Boekhouder. My accountant M. takes two to three weeks to answer even simple questions, and before you know it, we are months along before substantial information is processed. Her manager seems to be challenged with the same capacity issues. They promised my taxes for 2024 would be finished by May 1st, and when they were unable to deliver, they didn't answer my emails let alone set new and reasonable expectations. When in early-June they finally delivered the finalized accounting, there were some glaring issues. In the second week of July, they've just gotten back with a second round. Now I owe 2000 euros less, which makes me very glad I asked them to go over it again. When I onboarded with Kees, I underscored how important it was to me to get this done quickly and was promised that my situation as a freelancer earning internationally was an easy situation for them to handle. I trusted them because a good friend referred me, but I now regret not doing more research and finding a better fit for my situation. Their platform is Dutch centric, and not flexible at all for freelancers earning incoming internationally outside of the US.

I’ve been a client for 5years and regret it now. Had real good service in the beginning but last years getting any contact, answers to questions, guidance or anything above the bare minimum of submitting the necessary numbers feels impossible. When reaching out to them they simply say they are not ‘financial advices’ eventho questions and guidance around normal bookkeeping is openly advertised as one of their main services (in their website: your own bookkeeper is always available!). Even after specific questions I didn’t managed to book a call time with my bookkeeper for months. Nobody cares there, your business is sadly just a number in their system.

Since becoming a client of this company, I’ve consistently experienced outstanding service from the team. They always go above and beyond to assist me, and I genuinely appreciate their help. The team responds to my emails quickly and demonstrates excellent attention to detail. I’m very satisfied with the service and I recommended Kees de Boekhouder to anyone who manages their own business and needs tax support.
